Care Guide
Vacuum 1–2 times a week using a standard suction vacuum (no beater bar/rotating brush) to remove dust, pet hair, and debris — especially in high-traffic areas or during dusty Australian summers.
Rotate your rug every 3–6 months to ensure even wear and sun exposure, especially in sun-filled areas like Queensland or NSW coastlines.
Polypropylene is UV-resistant but not UV-proof. Prolonged exposure can still cause fading. Use curtains or blinds during the hottest parts of the day to extend rug life.
Act Fast. Blot spills immediately with a clean, dry cloth. Avoid rubbing, it can push the stain deeper into the fibres.
Mix a small amount of mild dish soap with warm water. Test in an inconspicuous area before cleaning the stain. Use a sponge or cloth to gently dab the area.
Wipe with a damp cloth to remove any soap residue. Allow the rug to air-dry completely.
Hose Down (Outdoor Rugs Only)
For outdoor polypropylene rugs, you can hose them off with water. Hang over a railing or fence in a shaded, breezy spot to dry.
Indoor Rugs
For indoor use, consider professional rug cleaning annually or as needed, especially in sandy or dusty environments such as coastal WA or SA.
Polypropylene is stain-resistant, but pet hair and odour can accumulate. Use a lint roller or rubber brush between vacuums.
For accidents: blot immediately, apply an enzymatic cleaner designed for pet messes, and follow up with a rinse and dry.
In humid climates like Far North Queensland or coastal NSW:
Avoid leaving damp rugs rolled up or sitting on wet floors.
Dry thoroughly after cleaning.
Store in a dry, well-ventilated place if not in use.
